The new project timeline has been finalized! The following major project milestones are important to note:
- End-user testing: End-user testing is a chance to engage front-line staff and providers that haven’t been involved with the build. They will have a chance to view the new system, test workflows and identify areas for system optimization. There will be two opportunities where end-users, will engage in testing of MEDITECH Expanse during the week of May 3-7 and July 5-16.
- Training: Training consists of two components, eLearning and Instructor-led in-person training. eLearning will launch on May 25, 2021. In-person will be held in July and August 2021. Look for information from your site on when and how to register for in-person training.
- Cutover: Cutover is the movement of patient information from the old system into MEDITECH Expanse. Most cutover activity in clinical areas will occur during the week leading up to go live (Sep 13-18). A few highly impacted areas, specifically scheduling and registration, pharmacy and lab will start cutover work up to 3 weeks in advance of GO LIVE (starting August 30). Each site is working on developing their own cutover resource plan with support from the project team.
The project is moving full steam ahead and we are planning more opportunities for you to ask questions, participate in demos and engage with the project.
