After a nation-wide search, the four partner sites were pleased to announce and welcome Dave Brewin as the new Regional Chief Information Officer for the Regional IT Partnership.
In this new permanent leadership role, Dave will be instrumental in the implementation of MEDITECH Expanse, our complex and large scale health information clinical transformation project. He will lead a regional team to advance the digital health strategy for the four hospital partnership, optimizing our clinical system to drive safety and quality for patients and users.
A key part of his role will be developing strong relationships with partner hospitals. Dave will report to Ben Petersen, Chair of the Joint IT Steering Committee (JITSC) and Executive Vice President Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer, RVH, on a day-to-day basis.

Dave is a proven information technology leader with a well-established track record in creating highly effective, results-driven teams. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master of Health Sciences in Clinical Engineering, is a Lean Six Sigma black belt and comes to us from Alberta Health Services where he spent the last five years as the Executive Director for IT Corporate Services.
